Mayzin & Romby – HWGA

By Uptown Toney

East Oakland artists Mayzin put out a raw and untapped project earlier this year when he released Something I Wanted. Since its debut, Mayzin has kept things moving steadily releasing astonishingly wavy songs here and there. His latest is titled “HWGA (Here We Go Again)” and features kick-heavy, uptempo production from Texas producer Romby. Gliding over this one, we catch more of Mayzin’s crisp flow. Coming in at just 3 minutes in length, you’ll be sure to run this one back a few times.

Dave B – Got It From

By Uptown Toney

Well, well, well. It seems as if AGO/Soulection prodigy producer Sángo has found himself a new artist to create with. The last time that happened, Sángo created an incredible project with singer SPZRKT called Hours Spent Loving You. I still keep that EP in my daily rotation. The producers hometown recruit, Dave B, is no stranger to releasing an incredible project too. His debut tape Punch Drunk was one of the best we’ve heard back in 2015. If you’re new to Dave or Sángo, this collaboration between the two Seattle products is sure to win you over with its chill aesthetics and Dave’s smooth sung-rap style. Listen below!

Zero – “Exposition”

By Kaitlin

18-year-old Philadelphia rapper Zero has been very consistent since the release of his Paradise Campground mixtape, which features Futuristic, Huey Mack and more.

A stand-out song on the project was “All The Time,” an Andrew Meoray-produced banger which features none other than Tory Lanez.

Today, the 18-year-old rapper delivers “Exposition” – a new, aggressively boastful track produced by frequent Tory Lanez collaborator, Play Picasso. Stream the lyrical onslaught below, and be on the lookout for a new project from Zero in May.

Atlanta by way of Maryland artist/producer Israel Negasi delivers an intricate four-track EP in the form of Living Waters. It’s a darker, more sensual side of Negasi’s music than we’ve gotten in the past, with his sharp vocals combining with the flowing production nicely.
